Welcome to the Wool 4 Ewe
Here is a drying rack of freshly washed wool. After it is totally dry, it will go into the picker where the fibers are opened up and the vegetable matter is removed. This is blown into the picker room where it looks light and fluffy.

It will then go to the carder, which is the heart and soul of the mill. This lines up the fibers and creates rovings, batts and we can also make rug yarn.
After that it can be put onto the felting table to create sheets of wool felt.

These are batts that can be used to stuff pillows, comforters or used in felting. The approximate size is 24 inches by 42 inches.

This is how the rovings come off the carder.

Here the rovings have been put onto "bumps"

At Wool 4 Ewe, we process our own fiber only, for use in the products we make.
All the fibre is raised here, in Ontario and the items are made on site.

New this year are socks made from wool and wool/alpaca blends. They are made on a circular sock machine inspired by the war time antique sock machines.

We are 100% Canadian.
